Hitsville CPA - Are you Using AI as a Toy or a Tool?

Welcome to Hitsville, CPA! We're all exploring AI's potential, but are you leveraging it as a fundamental growth driver, or are you just playing around? AI is amazing, and we can’t even imagine its limits nor the full impact it will have on our business. However, all applications of AI potential are not the same. I’m as susceptible to bells and whistles as anyone (if not more), but when it comes to optimizing our practices, our profits, and our firms with technology, we need to be disciplined about using AI as a problem-solving tool and not a toy.

Here’s a fun (toy) example of how not to drive growth with AI: I took core value statements from a random selection of CPA firms, ran them through a few AI platforms, and generated an original core values anthem for each. Some are classic country, some modern country, some rock, and others have more of a singer-songwriter vibe. They are all 100% original and entirely based on publicly available content.
